What is a heritage journal?

A heritage journal is designed to assist parents in the process of training their children in the "nurture and admonition of the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4b). It is a tool for moving biblical truths from your heart to your child's, creating a context of loving influence in a setting of family, camaraderie, unity, and acceptance. This is accomplished one question and conversation at a time. A question is an invitation to share information, gain understanding, and direct outlook and perspective. 

A heritage journal is a written record of the information you want to share with your child and includes a variety of topics in the six areas listed. Words are fragile, but written words are durable. Recording your godly heritage gives your child an opportunity to return to them when he is ready, interested, or gained maturity.
