The doctrine of Christ is the central doctrine of the Bible, as Christ is the central figure of the Bible. The Old Testament looks forward to His first coming, and the New Testament looks backward to His first coming and forward to His return. Every doctrine in the Bible is given in its relationship to Christ. Indeed, the Scriptures are all about Him who is altogether lovely.
