"Why all this?" Is based upon the Old Testament account of Gideon who asked why all the bad things had happened to Israel if God was on their side. Dr. Ouellette notes a variety of bad things that have happened in fundamentalism in the last few decades and tells why he believes they happened.

He affirms the need for God'presence and power today just as it was needed in generations before. His appeal to us is a challenge to have courage and faithfully fight the battles in our generation.
